Dr. Kavendaren Pather qualified as a Dental Surgeon (B.Ch.D - UWC) in 2001 after having completed a B.Sc in 1996. He began his career in the public sector, cutting his teeth so to speak, in several government clinics and took over a private practice in associateship in Gatesville, Athlone, in 2003. Dr. Pather expanded his practice into the burgeoning area of Century City and Colosseum Dental Studio was established in 2011.
Dr. Pather enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and the search for that elusive perfect smile. He has completed several courses in orthodontics including dento-facial and early Interceptive Orthopaedics which has enhanced the area of Cosmetic Dentistry.
He strives to integrate Deep Relaxation techniques into the treatment of anxious patients, having completed several courses on hypnosis, through The South African Institute of Hypnotism. Courses in Facial Rejuvenation through "Secrets of Youth" have also been completed to ensure that Smile Makeovers are enhanced through the use of Botox, Dermal Fillers and Chemical Peels.
He takes pride in providing individual attention for each patient and deems the gentle approach paramount to the provision of dental care.
